Project Overview
A 260 sqm pergola structure built from thermo-treated European ash defines the resort's signature pool deck. The thermal modification process raises the timber's dimensional stability and rot resistance to suit Saadiyat's coastal humidity, while a hand-applied marine-grade UV oil locks in the deep amber tone. Beam spacings were tuned with the resort's landscape architects to deliver a dappled shade pattern matched to the sun path at the pool's prime sunbathing hours.
