Set against the Palm Jumeirah shoreline, this 180 sqm bioclimatic pergola transforms the villa's terrace into a four-season entertaining space. The structure pairs a marine-grade aluminium frame with precision-extruded rotating louvres engineered to withstand coastal salt exposure and 140 km/h gusts. Integrated rain sensors automatically close the louvres at the first drop, while a custom RGBW lighting circuit lets the owner shift mood with a tap. Retractable side screens — wind-rated to Beaufort 6 — extend usability deep into summer evenings, when sea breezes can be channelled through the pergola without losing shade.
